As always at this time of the year, I’m feeling a little blue. Christmas is over and after New Year’s Eve, this festive season will be over. I’m also studying for my exams in January and it’s CONSTANTLY raining in Antwerp. That’s why I started to look at some of my summer pictures. That’s how I found photos of my trip to Corfu last year and they cheered me up immediately. So here’s my post about the beautiful Greek island!
In May I was doing my internship at a travel magazine and I had to go on a press trip to Corfu, hosted by its tourism organization. I ended up having a great time because of the amazing nature, culture, food, sun, sea, and other (way more experienced) journalists.
I had the opportunity to stay at the fabulous Hotel MediterraneO (http://www.grand-mediterraneo.com/eng/corfu-hotel.htm). I had my private swimming pool on my own terrace, with a view on the mountains and the sea, which, of course, I absolutely LOVED!
This was the general swimming pool, at sunset:
I went to visit ‘Pontikonisi’, which is also called ‘Mouse Island’, because it has the shape of a mouse’s tail. From there I could also witness a breathtaking sunset.
I also saw the castle of princess ‘Sisi’!
And a few other pictures of the trip:
